Fir

Fir had always had problems with his identity.  On most days he knew himself but if he wasn't bouncing his thoughts off of somebody else he couldn't remember who he was.  Getting in a relationship during a time when he couldn't find his footing was probably not the best idea.  That was most likely where all the sex was coming from.  When Maple confronted him about his sexuality it was so unnexpected.  Nobody had ever done that before.  Whoever he decided to have sex with didn't seem to be a problem with anyone.

Maybe Maple was right.  Maybe he wasn't sure of who he was.

Maybe his friends were only accepting of who he was because they had no other choice.  Maybe he should change.

Here is Fir ->

How come everyone had a thing for his boyfriend and not him?  Would it be better to let him go?  He obviously had plenty of options.  He couldn't figure it out.  Was Fir sacrificing somebody else's happiness for his own personal reasons?

Who was he outside of this relationship?  A sex addict?  An alcoholic?  Nobody likes that.

"Fir!"

Fir looked to his right and he was standing in the kitchen next to Birch.

"Do you want burgers or hotdogs?"

The room began to spin.  Wait why was he having an identity crisis in the middle of a conversation.  He could faintly hear Birch's voice but he couldn't respond.  Was it the alcohol?  Was he dehydrated?

"Fir!  You're swaying are you alright!?"

Fir leaned against the doorframe and tried to catch his breath.  What the fuck was going on.  He looked back up at Birch and saw his warm face, and he knew in his heart.  He was too good for him.
